Another necessity of life is rest.  Frequent heartburn wakes up 25% of the United States population two to three times a month.  Lying down can be torture.  As soon as your head touches the pillow, your stomach decides it is time to watch the late show and the late late show.  The next day you are sluggish and tired, fighting to keep yourself alert through your day.

Remedy for heartburn

Most common acid reflux causes are chocolate, peppermint, raw onion, fatty foods, and carbonated beverages. Tomatoes and tomato products as well as citrus fruits and juices are also common culprits. You can also look into trying a home remedy for heartburn, but if If dietary changes do not seem to do the trick, you can move to lifestyle modifications that will include training, not smoking and maintaining a healthy weight.

You can also try eating smaller, more frequent meals and having the last one at least two or three hours prior to bedtime. If you wake up at night or in the morning with your acid reflux symptoms, you can raise the head of your bed two or three feet so that the upper part of your body is elevated at night.

Supplements may be helpful. For example, you can look into whether potassium helpful for heartburn or does it make sense to take hcl for heartburn. (By the way, hcl for heartburn is a form of hydrocholoric acid in tablet form.)
